Dr. Block is compassionate about supporting the community through both service and financial donations. As a board member of the Owensboro Family YMCA for the past 4 years, he has championed the mission of the YMCA, putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Working as the Fundraising Chair, Dr. Block has raised over $150,000 for the Owensboro YMCA’s annual campaign, supporting after school programs, seniors programs, specific programs such as swimming lessons, and membership to the YMCA free of charge for the less fortunate. Dr. Block has personally donated over $15,000 to the Owensboro YMCA general fund since joining the board 4 years ago, including annual sponsorships of the Owensboro BBQ and Barrels YMCA 5K Run.

Dr. Block has also played the piano for his church’s LifeTeen mass for over 12 years, supporting the youth involvement at church.

Finally, Dr. Block has donated thousands of dollars supporting law enforcement through the Fraternal Order of Police, Toys for Tots, the back to school program, Shop With a Cop, and his church’s Christmas Giving Tree program providing a Christmas for less fortunate children in the community.
